It’s been a tough year for so many and you don’t have to look far to find bad news: sickness, political strife, racial divide, loneliness.
Luckily for us, this week’s holiday is all about being thankful, regardless of our circumstances. It asks us to remember what we have, not what we have lost.
I am grateful for so much at work:
For the job seekers who find value in our efforts to match them with a long-term job. I overheard a conversation this morning about someone who is getting hired on directly at an employer. The team rejoiced in her success.
For the employers who trust us to help them find good employees.
For my team members, who deeply care that their work benefits people’s lives.
I am grateful for so much at home:
We won’t gather in person, but we can visit family on Thanksgiving through the magic of Zoom.
Less travel will provide more time to relax and, importantly, start decorating for Christmas!
Like many others, I get frustrated, crabby, and tired of the extra challenges of this year. I’m extra grateful for a holiday that reminds me of what’s important in my life.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
